Python’s Den

Bots, radar, flight tracking, and the six machines
in my house that run them.

About Me

I’m Python. I build things, and I run the machines they live on.

Most of what I make sits somewhere between software and infrastructure — Discord bots, weather radar tooling, a live flight tracker, a self-hosted chat platform, an Android reading app. The common thread is usually weather and data: I like taking raw feeds like NEXRAD radar, ADS-B, and NOAA weather radio and turning them into something you can actually look at and use.

All of it runs on a six-node Proxmox cluster in my house instead of someone else’s cloud. That means I’m not only writing the code — I’m also the one swapping drives, chasing failed backups, and figuring out why a node dropped offline at three in the morning. It’s a slower way to do things, but it’s taught me far more about how systems actually break than any tutorial would have.

If you want to see what that hardware looks like, it’s all listed here.

More lands here as I feel like sharing it.

The Hoard

Weather Bot delivers model-driven forecaster briefings; Vortex Bot handles server management. Built to make a Discord server genuinely useful rather than just louder.

Bots

The community site and member dashboard for VOC — forecaster tools, radar access, and admin and member management.

Active

A browser-based radar toolkit built on AtticRadar: NEXRAD parsing and plotting, velocity dealiasing, live lightning, and active weather alerts.

Active

A live flight-tracking dashboard fed by my own ADS-B receiver, paired with LiveATC audio so you can watch and listen to traffic at the same time.
